Senior Enlisted Advisor
First Sergeant Christopher L. Rushton

First Sergeant Rushton enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in 2005 and recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island,
South Carolina, April 2005. Upon graduation, he reported to Marine Combat Training Camp Geiger, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Private First Class Rushton was then assigned to Marine Aviation A School, Pensacola, Florida. Upon completion of A school, Private
First Class Rushton was transferred to the Center of Naval Aviation Technical Training C School, Cherry Point, North Carolina where
he received his Military Occupational Specialty of 6541 Intermediate Level Aviation Ordnance Technician.

In December 2005 Private First Class Rushton was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 31 where he served as an
Ordnance technician. While at MALS-31, Lance Corporal Rushton participated in the Unit Deployment Program to Iwakuni, Japan in
2006. While in Iwakuni, Lance Corporal Rushton served as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) in Armament Weapons Support
Equipment (AWSE). Corporal Rushton also deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007 as a CDI in AWSE and also
worked in 71B Gun Shop. In September 2008, Corporal Rushton reenlisted into the Marine Corps.

In October 2009 Sergeant Rushton attended Drill Instructor School, MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina. After completing Drill
Instructor School he was assigned to First Recruit Training Battalion, Alpha Company. During his time upon MCRD Parris Island,
Sergeant Rushton also served as a Martial Arts Instructor Instructional Training Company, Support Battalion. During Sergeant
Rushton's tour as a Drill Instructor, he produced over five hundred recruits through eight training cycles, producing three Honor
Platoons. After completing Drill Instructor duty in March of 2013, Sergeant Rushton was assigned to MALS-11, Marine Air Group 11,
Third Marine Air Wing in San Diego, California.

While in MALS-11, Sergeant Rushton served as the Assistant Work Center Supervisor and Work Center Supervisor in AWSE, Quality
Assurance Safety Observer in work center 730 Munitions and the Ordnance Department Training Staff Noncommissioned Officer in
Charge. In March 2014 Staff Sergeant Rushton deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Bahrain as a CDI in AWSE and
a Team Leader in the Munitions work center. In December 2014 Staff Sergeant Rushton reenlisted into the Marine Corps. Staff
Sergeant Rushton has also been the Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of two Weapons Tactics Instructors courses as well as
Red Flag Nellis AFB.

In May 2017, Staff Sergeant Rushton was assigned to MALS-31 where he served as the Work Center Supervisor for the Aviation
Armament Systems Division. While assigned to MALS-31, Staff Sergeant Rushton preformed the duties as the Forward Ammunition
Supply Point Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge during a deployment to Bahrain in support of Operation Enduring freedom in
March 2018. Gunnery Sergeant Rushton was transferred to VMFA-115 to serve as the Ordnance Division Staff Noncommissioned
Officer in Charge.

During his time at VMFA-115, Gunnery Sergeant Rushton deployed to Iwakuni, Japan in March 2020 as part of the Unit Deployment
Program. Gunnery Sergeant Rushton was also deployed to Finland in May 2021 as well as Saudi Arabia in December 2021. Due to the
high operational tempo for the squadron, Gunnery Sergeant Rushton also participated in nine detachments to go along with the three
deployments.

In September 2022 Gunnery Sergeant was assigned to MALS-12, Iwakuni, Japan where he served as the Production Control Chief for
the Ordnance Department.

In May 2023 First Sergeant Rushton checked into Marine Corps Security Force Battalion Bangor where he served as the Company B
and Company H 1stSgt until November 2024.

In December 2024 First Sergeant Rushton checked into Marine Corps Air Facility Quantico as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold
star in lieu of second award), and the Drill Instructor Ribbon. He has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. First Sergeant Rushton
is married and has three children.
