Lieutenant Colonel Bullock was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in December 2004 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in March of 2008.
Lieutenant Colonel Bullock completed The Basic School in November of 2008 and completed Flight School, was winged as a Naval Aviator, and selected as a CH-53E pilot in August of 2010.
Lieutenant Colonel Bullock joined HMH-464 in April of 2011. While with HMH-464, Lieutenant Colonel Bullock served as a schedule writer, Airframes AOIC, Quality Assurance Officer, Standardization Officer, Pilot Training Officer, Weapons and Tactics Instructor, and Assistant Operations Officer. During the 2012 Lieutenant Colonel Bullock deployed aboard the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) with VMM-261 (REIN) on the 24th MEU. During the deployment, Lieutenant Colonel Bullock was designated a Helicopter Aircraft Commander, returning from deployment in December 2012. Lieutenant Colonel Bullock deployed again in November 2013 to Okinawa, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) with HMH-464, returning in June 2014 and becoming a Night Systems Instructor in the summer of 2014. In the fall of 2014, Lieutenant Colonel Bullock completed Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-15 and returned to HMH-464 to serve as the Pilot Training Officer, squadron WTI and Assistant Operations Officer.
In the spring of 2016 Lieutenant Colonel Bullock supported exercise Cold Response 16, based out of Vaerness, Norway. Following this exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Bullock reported to Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron One (VMX-1), CH-53E detachment based out of New River, NC. Lieutenant Colonel Bullock served as the Support Officer, Aviation Safety Officer, and Operational Test Director during his tour.
In July 2019 Lieutenant Colonel Bullock was PCS’d to MCAS Miramar, and attached to HMH-361, where he was the ACE OIC in support of SPMAGTF AK AECE 19.
Following the SPMAGTF, Lieutenant Colonel Bullock was assigned to HMH-465 to assume the role as the 15th MEU CH-53E Detachment OIC. He deployed again from October 2020 until June of 2021 aboard the Makin Island ARG in support of the 15th MEU, attached to VMM-164(REIN).
In August of 2021, Lieutenant Colonel Bullock PCS’d to Quantico, VA to Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1). While at HMX-1, he served as an OTD, Marine 2 Pilot, and Command Pilot in support of the President of the United States and Vice President of the United States for two different administrations, and multiple different Heads of State.
