An aerial view of the renovated runway at Marine Corps Air Facility (MCAF), Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, May 5, 2022. The large-scale runway repair project replaced old materials that either expired or were deemed outdated for use, with new and current materials. The updates to the runway included concrete slab repairs and section replacements, asphalt repaving, and updated signage. The mission of MCAF is to operate and maintain the air facilities and provide services and material support to Marine Helicopter Squadron One and other transient aircraft.
